This is my second book concerning the situation for Jehovah's Witnesses - the first is entitled "The Shackled Mind of the Jehovah's Witness" which dealt with such issues as the Watchtower Society's blood policy, the policy of shunning, and how paedophiles are dealt with by the organization, along with its many unethical or hypocritical practices. So this second book looks at the Watchtower's doctrines concerning Jesus' so-called return in 1914, other problematic date-setting, the manner of Jesus' resurrection and of his return, the separating of true Christians into two classes, the time of the end scenario, the Kingdom future hope for all Christians as not being in heaven, and the resurrection of Christians and its timing. By misuse and misapplication of the Scriptures the Watchtower's teachings have resulted in a two class system of Christians, misunderstanding of Jesus' real and very physical return to our planet, and a keeping of the Jehovah's Witness membership in false expectations concerning when "Armageddon" will come. Furthermore, by its unbiblical version of Jesus' resurrection the Society has effectively done away with Jesus! Indeed, all of these distortions of what the Bible actually teaches is highly psychologically damaging to the individual Jehovah's Witness. So this book presents a vast array of Scriptures on each facet of Watchtower teachings along with references to some of the very best of Bible scholars. Since the advent of the internet many thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses have woken up to the distortions of biblical teachings that have been perpetrated upon them by the Organization and have left it. Sadly some have left God altogether, but others have sought to gain a correct or at least better understanding of Bible teachings. So my hope is that this book will add to the good research of others who regularly present their YouTube or website information out of love for their Christian brothers and sisters.
