Tom Keefe (b.1973) was born in Wakefield and raised in nearby Peace Dale, RI. After attending Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Tom taught English, Religion, and History at variety of schools in MA and RI. Completing his Master's in Diplomacy, Tom has focused his writing on genocide and social justice. He has also facilitated summer educational workshops in social justice for educators, and publishes a blog on This Day in Genocide. Tom is also the author of Bashir the Boxer Turtle, which is a children's storybook and primer for topics on discrimination. He currently resides in the Denver metro area with his wife Colleen, where he is a guest lecturer on topics related to genocide.
