Krishna Madan is a public school History and English teacher. He has a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs and two Master's Degrees: one in Political Philosophy and the other in English Language. Madan has taught from the elementary to the collegiate level at public, parochial, and private schools, both in America and abroad. He even taught at Obama's elitist prep school in Hawaii, giving him insight into Obama's and Gates' attitude to education. His high school classes have ranged from the remedial to Advanced Placement. With a wide-ranging and comprehensive background in education, Madan brings a strong teacher's voice to pressing issues in education. Using his deep background in the social sciences and humanities, he shows how those concerns are intrinsically connected to larger issues of social justice.
